BHU Recruitment in DBT funded Project for Research associate, Project Manager and Curator of Stocks


BHU, Department of Zoology, invites
application for Research associate, Project manager and Curator of Stocks under DBT Project on temporary
basis, co-terminus with, a DBT-supported.



Project Title:  “Omega speckle
organization and role of hsromega IncRNAs in modulation of Ras signaling in
Drosophila, and Stock Repository”.
Position

i.          Research
Associate
: 1 (Vacancy)
Education Qualification:
Ph.D. with research publications in molecular biology/molecular
genetics/developmental biology, preferably using Drosophila model. Candidate
submitted thesis and waiting for doctoral award may also apply.

Age limit: 45 years (SC/ST/PH/Female
candidate’s relaxation as per Govt. rules.)

Emoluments according to the current DBT/DST
norms.

 ii.        Project
Manager
: 1 (Vacancy)

Education Qualification:
Graduation or Post-graduation (Minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade points).
Knowledge of English, purchase procedures, correspondence and maintenance of
accounts essential.

Age limit: 35 years
(SC/ST/PH/Female candidate’s relaxation as per Govt. rules.)

Pay: Rs. 25,000 pm

 iii.       Curator
of Stocks
: 1 (Vacancy)

Education Qualification:
B.Sc. (Hons) / M.Sc. (
Minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade points) in Zoology or Life Science discipline


Desirable: Basic knowledge
of genetics and experience of handling Drosophila flies for genetic studies.

Age limit: 35 years
(SC/ST/PH/Female candidate’s relaxation as per Govt. rules.)

Pay: Rs. 25,000 pm
