For the appointment of Assistant Professor at universities,
applicants must have the minimum qualifications and experience
required by the UGC/NCTE/AICTE/Department of Higher Education, Govt.
of West Bengal, as applicable. A PhD in the relevant topic is also
required. Only the NCTE B.Ed. norms shall be followed for
Education.

The
University of Burdwan’s rules will be used in connection with the
contract renewal. However, if the services are determined to be
unsatisfactory, the authority reserves the right to terminate the
contract with one month’s notice.

How to Apply:

Interested applicants must submit their applications in the
format specified. A Crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of the
Directorate of Distance Education, The University of Burdwan,
Burdwan can be used to pay the required application fee
(Rs.1500.00 for general category and Rs.1000.00 for reserved
category).

Application with requisite fee and photocopies of all credentials
(one set for each single application) must reach the office of the
Director,
Centre for Distance and Online Education, The University of
Burdwan, Golapbag, Burdwan 713104, West Bengal no later than July 27, 2021 (5.00 PM). Applicants
are required to submit separate applications for more than one
post.

In-service candidates have to apply through the proper channel.
No TA/DA is available for the applicant to attend the
interview.

It should be noted that meeting the minimal eligibility
requirements does not guarantee that you will be called for an
interview. Applications that are incomplete or do not include a
draft for the price of the form will be rejected. Selection will
not be limited to those who have submitted a formal
application.
